The overall purpose of the Institute's research agenda is to examine how the social and ethical consequences of science and technology can be managed in a way that protects people and makes their lives better. Our work at the interface between science, ethics and innovation will examine the role and the moral responsibilities of science, technology and innovation in society both locally and globally, through our research topics within four broad areas:
