Early Career Workshop

CALL FOR PARTICIPANTS TO WORKSHOP ON: DEVELOPMENT OF ETHICS EDUCATION IN UNIVERSITIES

Under the British Council Researcher Links scheme, in partnership with CONACYT we will be holding a workshop on the above theme in Tepic at the Autonomous University of Nayarit (UAN) from 17th-20th June 2014.

The workshop is being coordinated by Dr Rubén Bugarín Montoya of UAN and Dr Catherine Rhodes of the Institute for Science, Ethics and Innovation at Manchester University, and will have contributions from other leading researchers from these institutions: Dr Becki Bennett and Professor John Harris from Manchester University and Dr Pedro Antonio Enriquez Soto, Dra Aurora Rojas Garcia from UAN.

We are now inviting Early Career Researchers from the UK or Mexico to apply to attend this workshop. All travel and accommodation expenses will be covered by the Researcher Links programme. The application form, with more details on the initiative is available through the link below and should be sent by e-mail to Dr Rubén Bugarín Montoya (c/o maria.medina@uan.edu.mx) and Dr Catherine Rhodes (catherine.rhodes-2@manchester.ac.uk) before the deadline of 21st April 2014 (please use ‘Researcher Links Workshop Application’ as the e-mail subject header).

We encourage a mix of disciplines among our participants and there are no eligibility restrictions based on disciplinary background. Our focus during the selection process will be on your demonstrated interest in the development of ethics education.

The official language of the workshop will be English and therefore participants will be expected to have a sufficient standard of English to be able to fully participate in the workshop.
